NAIDOC Week Exhibition

Inspired by the following quotation of Abdu’l-Baha during NAIDOC week in 2021, a group of friends in the Lockyer Valley created an exhibition sharing an Aboriginal perspective on the Baha’i Faith and its vision for unity amongst all the peoples of the world. This exhibition drew information and artwork from the book “The Bahá'í Faith: An Australian Aboriginal Perspective” by Philip Obah (Guburu), an elder of the Wadja Tribe of Northern Queensland. It was also dedicated to the memory of Philip Obah, who sadly passed away in September 2021. (A copy of this book at purchased at the Australian Baha’i Bookstore)

Strive with heart and soul in order to bring about union and harmony among the white and the black and prove thereby the unity of the Bahá’í world wherein distinction of colour findeth no place, but where hearts only are considered. Praise be to God, the hearts of the friends are united and linked together, whether they be from the east or the west, from north or from south, whether they be German, French, Japanese, American, and whether they pertain to the white, the black, the red, the yellow or the brown race.
