Children imagine what it would be like to meet Abdu’l-Baha

During lockdown, a children’s class in Sydney City learned about Abdu’l-Baha, His qualities and impact when meeting people. They learned about this special time to commemorate the centenary of His passing. As part of the lesson, the class read stories written by people who had met, and were in the presence of, Abdu’l-Baha. Inspired by these stories, the children were then asked to write or draw an imaginative piece on how they would feel if they met Abdu’l-Baha. Things they were encouraged to think about was what He might be doing, what emotions they would feel, what they would say to Him and how He would treat them. The children then shared these moving pieces with the rest of the class. Although each child was sitting in front of a laptop screen in their own homes, the activity fostered a sense of unity and joy. The images are just a sample of the many pieces the children created.
